The 63rd Annual Rodeo will be held
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday,
July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2008.

Hill country tradition, the Annual Pro-Open VFW Rodeo and PBR Bull Riding has been held for more than 60 years on the first weekend in July at the VFW's rodeo grounds just north of town on Ranch Road 12.

Once the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, the event still ranks near the top. Check out the menu below to see this year's full listing of events.

The VFW Rodeo is sponsored by VFW Post 6441, Wimberley, Texas as a not-for-profit event benefiting the community, veterans and active duty servicemen and women. Producer/stock provider for the 2008 Rodeo is Bo Davis of Gonzales, Texas.

Thursday, July 3rd
Professional Bull Riders Assn. (PBR) sanctioned bull riding on the PBR Discovery Tour.

Friday and Saturday, July 4th and 5th
Cowboys Professional Rodeo Assn. (CPRA) sanctioned pro/open event. Ranked "Best CPRA Rodeo of the Year" in 2006 CPRA Hall of Fame.

TICKET INFORMATION

General admission tickets for the July 4th and 5th CPRA Rodeo are $12 for adults and $7 for youngsters 12 and under if purchased in advance at the VFW Post (June 25 - 28 and June 30 - July 1 from noon to 6 PM). After July 1, tickets are $15/$10 and may be purchased at the gate.

General admission tickets for the July 3rd Bull Riding are $15 for adults and $7 for youngsters 12 and under if purchased in advance, and $20/$10 at the gate.
